To mark National Museum Day, all 19 museums managed by the Malaysian Museum Department (JMM) will offer complimentary entry to visitors on Sunday, May 18th. This announcement was made via Facebook by the National Unity Minister, Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang. page .
Museums hold a crucial position in safeguarding culture and history since they gather and preserve artifacts from the past, aiding us in understanding our legacy.
Museums also assist us in grasping what life was like in the past and how it evolved over time.
To ensure museums continue safeguarding our past, we should frequent them and lend our support regularly.
Aaron urged everyone in his Facebook post, to explore the richness of history, cultural diversity, and the spirit of unity that form the core of Malaysia’s identity.
"Whether you travel from north to south, or east to west, museums act as a link between historical legacy and aspirations for the future, bringing people together with a sense of unity and appreciation for history. Join me in exploring JMM museums nationwide and commemorate our shared heritage," he concluded.

- National Museum (Kuala Lumpur)
- National Automobile Museum (Sepang)
- The Bujang Valley Archaeological Museum (Kedah)
- Malaysia Architecture Museum (Melaka)
